Milano Design Film Festival is a cultural platform that uses cinema to bring audiences closer to current topics in design and architecture.
I worked on two levels: the re-branding of the festival's overall identity and the visual campaign for its 9th edition. The goal was to break away from the previous image, still tied to the visual clichés of design and architecture, and shift the focus towards digital communication and the conversation around the festival: an event everyone writes about, talks about, discusses. A nod to the digital that also reflected the moment (2021) and the streaming nature of that edition.
Made in collaboration with Mattia Salvà.

Tresca is a social enterprise that designs and produces events, bringing together different worlds, disciplines, and communities while promoting more sustainable forms of entertainment and tourism.
Tresca's heterogeneous nature, involved in many different projects and shaped by ever-changing people and collaborations, was the starting point for the identity. I built it around a typeface with many variants, recognisable yet mutable.
An imaginative, evocative tone of voice and the use of snapshot photography complete the system, capturing the informal, community-driven energy of their events.

A project by Luca Quagliato and Luca Rinaldi. Published by Penisola Edizioni. In collaboration with cartographer Massimo Cingotti.
La terra di sotto ("The Land Below") explores some of the worst cases of pollution in northern Italy, on a journey from Turin to Venice that passes through Milan, Brescia, Verona, Vicenza, and other cities and provinces. It draws on photography, investigative journalism, cartography, and academic research to offer an unexpected view of the landscape of Italy's industrial "North".
The photographs, documentary and sharp, show ordinary landscapes where contamination remains invisible; the art direction works on this gap, with an insistent use of black and images in almost chemical tones to evoke what the photos can't reveal. I focused in particular on the maps and infographics, translating complex data into a clear, accessible form.

“At the Origin, the Quarry" is an editorial spin-off of the project “La terra di sotto": a free 28-page A3 magazine, unbound. Thanks to a simple display system—placing two copies side by side—the magazine transforms into an exhibition of photographs and texts that guide the audience through the themes of the book.
This accessible format allows anyone to set up the exhibition at minimal cost. The free press has been distributed in schools, bookstores, and associations, and presented as a traveling exhibition in various venues, sometimes accompanied by enlarged prints of the maps and infographics from the original project.

Project by Giancarlo Barzagli, with a story by Ming 2. Map in collaboration with cartographer Massimo Cingotti.
Grüne Linie is a photographic and narrative research on the Gothic Line and the Resistance in a valley of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
Through landscapes, ruins, war relics, and archives, the project weaves together images, text, and a map of hiking routes, reconstructing the historical memory of the area. The book invites readers to walk through these places, observe the traces of the past, and engage with their legacy in the present.
